Pros and cons of iHealthTrax (formerly Illness Tracker) app for iPhone and iPad

iHealthTrax (formerly Illness Tracker) app good for

This is an awesome app! As a mother with 2 small kids its great because I can track what is going on and keep it to discuss with the doctor at a later date! One feature I would like to see added is the ability to put in a time that medication was given. With young kids if they r running a fever u could be up all night with them and a little sleep deprived so it would be nice to just check the app to see what time medication was given just to double check your not giving to soon and help jogs your memory. Keep up the great work!
An excellent app to track symptoms, medications and pain. This app almost completes my requirements. One additional feature I would request, is thd ability to track multiple pain levels at different times during the day as opposed to a single pain level for the entire day. I will be watching this app very closely as I truly need something to track my illness. Thanks.
This app has good functionality. Could be improved with being able to enter multiple symptoms in a day. Otherwise I would recommend this app.
I have found this app to very useful for tracking allergy symptoms, blood pressure and sore knees. It help me to remember symptoms when I go to the doctor.
With some minor tweaks, could be perfect. When entering details on a calendar day, there doesnt seem to be a way to get back to that details page from one of the data entry screens without saving the info on that screen. Id like a back or main button for when I touch the wrong field and want to exit without saving any info there. Also, when entering medication doses, it doesnt allow non-numerical characters, so Im not able to enter accurate doses for some of my medications. 0.25mg or 9mg/24hrs for example. Otherwise, an extremely useful app for a very reasonable price. Thanks!
It lives as one of my "four" in my home dock row. Like others the developer is very responsive to your input - and has normally already thought of your feature requests. The past 4 days i have had 3 kids with fevers and such, ill be able to go to the doctor today and show the trends, that is worth more than the $3 i paid, the current sale price is a major bargain! So if you need to track medical "stuff" - you will not regret this purchase!

Some bad moments

This app is a bit overpriced and not really relevant for someone in their 30s. I wanted something to track illnesses in relation to what I ate. This app is very basic and could have more info to input.
As others have said (hint, hint) why cant mark the day an illness starts and the day it ends? Why must we manually enter each day? Most annoying. Its a big enough pain that I just stopped using the app. And it really needs a unified look. Whats up with all the different fonts and styles?
I downloaded this application, entered in all my families information only to find after i had turned it off everthing i entered was deleted. Tried it again and it deleted it again. I emailed the company only to get no response. Thankx for nothing.
Its way too easy to record your medication, hit save, hit save a 2nd time and Forget to HIT SAVE yet a 3rd time and loose the damn reading!!!! That should NEVER HAPPEN!!! Really moronic bug guys.
Fix something but break something else? Apparently no regression testing is being done. The fever indicator was fixed and the obtrusive picture was removed, but now when you try to update a previous day, it removes all your data for that day!! And now when you enter data on a new day, it does not save. Im afraid Ill open the app one day and all of my data will be gone! PLEASE FIX and PLEASE TEST!!! The last fixes are appreciated, but please do regression testing to determine whether you broke something else as a result of your fix! I would like to be able to add stars rather than remove them.
This was my favorite utility type app but suddenly its losing data. When I first installed it a couple months ago, it updated on iTunes & I lost our Dec- Feb sicknesses with that update & i had to start over. Ive been using it DAILY for the past 8 weeks for a chronic condition that has flared with increasing frequency, making me have to update notes / symptoms etc. from 1-3x a day. I entered todays note, symptoms, & pain scale at 4:15 & updated twice more & each time it lost the updates. Actually, each time I updated, I reentered the lost info with the update & each time it reverted to the first entered info. This affected the notes, pain scale, symtoms, & medication fields. Great concept & very useful but only if it works. And since this is regarding peoples health, it needs to be virtually flawless! It cannot have lost data! Correct the bugs & it will rate 5 .
